Whether you support biking on the city streets or not, this is definitely a cool day. To see everyone coming together, moving, showing off their sweet rides, and enjoying a hot breakfast in the crisp air was definitely worth getting up in the morning. Not that I had much of a choice, since I had to teach. However, I was even more impressed that I had 9 wonderful, hardworking champions in my 6am Indy Bike Hub Cycle Class. They pushed and it showed- nothing more satisfying to an instructor than an exhausted but happy class.

Alright, now many of you have been seeing my obnoxious posts on facebook about my time getting certified in S.T.R.I.D.E, hanging out with fitness celebrity Shaun T and some of my favorite fitness friends and fellow coaches. I had such an amazing time. I love cycling, I love Turbo Kick, Insanity gives me double the satisfaction with all the crazy moves, but theres something about dancing my way fit. To move with the music and break it down- I could do it all day. In fact after the certification, I kept dancing the different routines at home like I did back when I was young. I am SO excited to bring S.T.R.I.D.E. to you all. Look out for a full hour class Wednesdays at 8:00 coming to a studio near you…I’ll keep you posted when its in full swing. Have to wait on a few checks and balances before I can invite you all in to bust a move with me. If you dont fancy yourself a dancer, trust me, you’ll be surprised what you can do when we literally break down the moves with each routine. I have a feeling the “oh but Im not a dancer, or a good dancer” phrase will escape you by the time you take a few of the classes. You can keep it simple and focus on the strength and toning or you can put your mean mug and get down. Probably both.

My fitness mentor and friend Julie Voris. Certified me in Turbo Kick, which I know a lot of you are experiencing on Sunday- her energy is contagious. She also helped me become a coach, selling shakeology and running challenges with the varying programs Im so passionate about. She even noticed that my moves were “Broad Ripple” esque 😉 She continues to push and inspire me on my personal fitness business adventure.

Now to clarify, because a lot of times I ramble not realizing that people don’t understand my terminology, when I say “coach” it refers to those people who are passionate about health and fitness and decide to coach others as a business. We live ever progressing healthy mind and body lifestyles, helping by example, answering questions, selling the shakeology and the fitness programs (Turbo fire, P90X, Insanity, Les Mills Pump, Body Beast), and even cooler- running challenges in small accountability groups so people can be successful. Im learning more and more and am growing increasingly proud that Im involved with the company “Beach Body”. If I havent talked to you about the things Im passionate about, I probably will, but so you know, this is where Im coming from. Im also growing a team of people who want to do the same. Ive got incredible coaches Im going to introduce you to every week, so look out for them. You can get to know them, and look out for them so you can ask any questions you can see fit. Its all about personal relationships, and if I cant help someone I know someone else will. Not only will they be leading forces in their communities, Im touched to call them friends that I WANT and CHOOSE to surround myself with. Why not team up with those you respect and who “get it”? It can only make your days that much more fulfilling and comfortable.
Im proud to announce my friend Maggie Binkley. She is such a doll, so sugar me biased…but seriously, she has a strong background in heath and fitness, majoring in it like I did, with some serious experience as a NIFS manager. Her passion is contagious and shes one of the busiest gals I know. I read the other day, if you want something done, give it to a busy person. Well here we go. She is a marathoner, personal trainer, boot camp phenomenon, Turbo Kick instructor, sales person by day, and now a beach body coach. She also has a blog!
